The Writing Project

Ok so I totally bombed again. I have avoided my book, therefor, I have avoided this blog. I just got waaayyyyy to far ahead of myself. A simple idea turned into an all out conspiracy and it just wasn’t working out. I mean it was so bad even I had problems understanding the shit I came up with. Wow. I wish I could have stuck to the original idea but the more I tried to develop the plot, the more complex and confusing it got. It was then that I realized that even if you have a great idea for a book, it won’t always work out. I can’t start a new book either because I am just stuck on my characters and the original thought- a girl has dreams about a guy that actually exists somewhere out there in the world and through fate she meets him. That’s where I get lost. I don’t know how they meet, I don’t know why they meet- but that was the original plan. I took that plan and turned it into a superhero book. Good going, Kristi. Maybe the rest of the book will come to me some day. I just now know that I can’t force it. The more I force it, the more it sucks.
